Not too much to say about this game. Dinamo Bucharest is our traditional rival team. This time we were not so happy after the end of the game. Craiova lost this game and made a serious step toward second football league. For the rest of remaining games in this season the trainers of our team are G. Bita and S. Lung, the same persons who stayed on the bench in 2004, when Universitatea Craiova went in the second division, too.

Otelul Galati is the next champion of Romania. They played this game for keeping their first place in the table. Universitatea Craiova had 3 more points to get in the way they could overcome Gloria Bistrita, the team right above Stiinta in the classification. That is why we had a great match in this day.

Otelul Galati had already 2-0 after first half. But Craiova tried hard to get back in the game and scored in the 54th minute of the game by Danijel Subotic. Nothing happend until the end of the game and Craiova lost another match in this season, and Aurica Ticleanu resigned after it.

One of the latest chances for Universitatea Craiova to remain in Romanian First League was lost in this match. FC Vaslui had 1-0 in the start of the game thanks to an own goal of Dorel Stoica. Subotic ('40) scored for 1-1 just before half time. Craiova tried to resist to the end but in 2 minutes before the final FC Vaslui scored for 2-1 and let Craiova go home without any point in this game.

Stoianof scored for 1-0 in the 27th minute of the game. After 60 minutes of playing this problem became more than a serious issue. Brasov scored twice in 2 minutes ('65 and '67). Craiova lost this game in the end, and there are 6 more matches to play for salvation.

Our team went in the West of Romania trying to make a good result. After a bad show, we have lost with 0-4. And the score could easily be bigger but Silviu Lung saved Craiova from humiliation. This was a game we all want to forget as soon as possible. Let's see if we can do that.

After a cold cold winter there was not bigger pleasure than stating of a new football season. For us, Universitatea Craiova's fans, this started with a match played in front of 10,000 viewers at -8 Celsius degrees. That was an extreme temperature, even for Romania, in this period of the year.

What to say about the football game? Nothing interesting. Two lazy teams waiting to finish this job. I think is really hard to try running in such a bad weather. The only phase of the game consumed in the first half when Steaua scored and went in Bucharest with 3 necessary points in their pockets. Craiova still waits for victory.

After a 0-0 first half, everybody had the felling this game will be a draw. In the 67th minute of the game Litu scored for Gaz Metan. Craiova worked hard to score, and in the end of the we had the best opportunity a football team can have: penalty kick. After a fault against Julius Wobay in the penalty area, Gangioveanu took the ball trying to score. He missed and the game ended with 3 points for Medias. Universitatea Craiova still waits for a victory.

A game played in a Saturday. Universitatea Craiova lost the 16th round of Liga I, against Gloria Bistrita this time.

Junior Moraes scored two times for Gloria Bistrita (10th and 42nd minutes of the game) from almost indentical phases: counter attacks on wide spaces left by Universitatea's defenders and no reactions of Stanca.

Universitatea Craiova scored in the 27th minute of the game after a phase worked by Wobay and Mihai Costea. Madalin Ciuca scored for 1-1 but this result could not be maintained by our team until the end of the game.

Universitatea Craiova had a really crazy game against Dinamo Bucharest. It was one game only for Romanian Cup semifinals. The begining of the match was very good for Universitatea Craiova's fans. In the 31st minute of the game, Dina scored after an assist from Mihai Costea. 

Unfortunately Dinamo scored also, in the second half, after a head kick of Catalin Munteanu.

In the 71st minute of the game Spase Dilevski was redcarded for a fault he did not commit. Nothing changed until the 120th minute of the game and we had 11 meters kicks. Ologu scored for Craiova, but Barboianu, Gaman and Mihai Costea missed and Dinamo qualified in the semifinals. Another season without any performance for Universitatea Craiova.

Universitatea Craiova lost another game at home. It is really a shame the points gathered away are naturaly spread on Ion Oblemenco stadium.

Before starting of this game it was a moment for the memory of Adrian Paunescu, the legendary poet who passed away on 5th of November 2010. Universitatea's players had T-shirts with the message "Adrian Paunescu an immortal symbol." 24.000 viewers were in the stadium for this game. They had messages like: "Starting with today, it will be played Oltenia Eterna Terra Nova in the Heaven" and "Maestro, Oltenia cryies after you".

Universitatea Craiova played a good game but, unfortunately Otelul Galati scored in the 22nd minute and Stiinta could not score for draw all the rest of the game.

Universitatea Craiova - FC Vaslui 0-1

Universitatea Craiova lost their 4th game in this season. Unfortunately this was a game played in Craiova, on Ion Oblemenco Stadium. It was a really nice match, played in front of 25.000 viewers, but the result was not not the one we wanted for our team.

In the first part of the game, both teams played waiting for the mistake of the opponent. This came in the 42nd minute of the match when Ciuca lost his man and Yero Bello scored the only goal of the game.

In the second half, Craiova attacked with all the lines and had at least 10 goal opportunities. Unfortunately the goal did not came. In the last minute of the game Universitatea Craiova had a penalty kick as a last chance to score. Andrei Prepelita took the ball and tried to score, but Kuciak saved his team and FC Vaslui get back home with 3 more points in the table. Next game will be played on Thursday against Pandurii Tg Jiu as 1/8 of Romanian Football Cup.

Pandurii Tg Jiu - Universitatea Craiova 3-1

Universitatea Craiova met Pandurii Tg Jiu in the 7th day of Romanian Football Championship. It was a really strange match. There were a lot of Craiova's fans waiting for our team to win this game. Actually Universitatea could win 3 days before the game because of some Profesional Football League decisions. But the players and almost all Universitatea Craiova's supporters wanted the game to play, not to be gained in the offices.

Targu Jiu si part of Oltenia, a region of Romania whose capital Craiova used to be. There is no doubt that Craiova has a lot of fans in Tg Jiu. Actually Universitatea has more supporters than the local team in this city. That is why nobody could even imagine this game could be lost. Unfortunately, the worst predictions turned into reality: Universitatea Craiova lost this game in a categoric manner. In the first minute of the match it was already 1-0 for Pandurii and they continued to score until 3-0 in the 53rd minute of the game. In the end of the game (88th minute), our favorite team scored after a head strike of Valentin Iliev who received a good pass from Gargorov. Let's hope for more in the next match against Rapid Bucharest, next Friday.

Universitatea Craiova did not had trouble with referees as in the first two rounds, but ceded in Buzau, reaching three games without victory.

In the past, white-blues were qualified in the Champions League after the first two stages, but even Stiinta is not anymore that it used to be. There were to confused teams who played a bad football. Mihai Costea had a half-chance in the 10th minute of the game. Lung jr. trained twice for Dorinel Popa's shots. In the second half, the game was looking the same. Craiova had a chance by Firţulescu but his shot was denied from goal's line. Simion, ex-Steaua player, had a head shot after a corner and hit precisely for 1-0.

Steaua Bucharest - Universitatea Craiova 2-1

Universitatea Craiova played another game against a team from Bucharest. Always it happens like this. This scenario comes again and over again in front of our eyes. Craiova plays really good football and the other team is just waiting for the referee to change the result of the game. This is not a mistake. This happens at every game our team is playing.

It was 0-0 until the break. The game was really nice until then. In the 51st minute of the game, Mihai Costea stroke a corner kick. This was a good assist for Valentin Iliev who scored with a strong head kick. In the 57th minute, Mihai Costea got the ball again. He made a good pass near Abrudan and scored for 2-0. With no reason, the referee canceled Craiova's goal. Everybody on the field got stoned. Why?

After all these Steaua scored twice and the game finished with the wanted result by the referee of the game. What can we do now? There were 2 games in this new season. In the first game the referee of the game did not want to give a penalty kick for Universitatea Craiova. In the second game, another referee canceled a perfect goal of the same team. Craiova has only 1 point in the table instead of 6 which normally could have.

Steaua Bucharest - Universitatea Craiova 2-0

Steaua Bucharest did not made a good impression in the last match played in front of their own supporters, but they won after a bad game, in lack of technical achievements on both sides.

22:00 o'clock was a very inappropriate hour for a football game. Both football teams left the impression they are sleeping on the field. The same sensation had also the viewers of the game. The owners of the both teams, Gigi Becali from Steaua and Adrian Mititelu from Craiova get cursed by the fans and they received trivial invitations to leave the teams for someone else. Both galleries agreed with this point of view during this game.

About the match, but poor words as was the game. Fewer technical achievements. Pleşan two shots on goal in first half both saved by Lung jr. And, perhaps, mostmissed opportunity for Steaua in the first half by Surdu.

Craiova, while seated bravely on the ground, were timid in front of the goal. Mihai Costea was often as individualistic as his older brother. The only occasion was created by Steaua's defender Petre Marin, who in the 38th minute sent a soft pass to his goalkeeper, Firţulescu intercepted but he sent a weak shot near the goal of Tătăruşanu.

In the second half, Arman Karamyan, perhaps the best player of Steaua, openened the score in 70th minute of the game, after a pass from Surdu, who relapsed eight minutes later. Steaua said goodbye to their own supporters with a good result, but with a modest game. Craiova made a pale impression and they still need a victory in the next game to remain in the first Romanian football league.
