Romania - Sweden 1-0

"Ion Oblemenco" stadium - Craiova - March 27th 2018

Romania met Sweden in a friendly game. Probably it was the most animated friendly game ever. That happened because of the fans of FC U 1948 - the historical team called in the past "Universitatea" Craiova. After this football team was abusively rejected from Romanian football the fans remained without a football team. More than this, the socialist political party (PSD) invented by night a football team with the same colors and symbols pretending that was the real Universitatea Craiova. This fake team is called CSU. UEFA doesn't agree with such a situation but, in Romania, the CSU easily stolen our stadium and our history. They started to play in the Romanian Second League just like this, even though Romanian football has 5 leagues and a new team should start from the lowest one.

In such circumstances the fans of FC U 1948 were sent out from their home - "Ion Oblemeco" stadium - and forced to start again from the last league of Romanian football. Today FC U 1948 is in the 4th Romanian Football League and is still banned to play its games on our former stadium. We are forced to play somewhere out of the city of Craiova, but in such conditions our team won all the games until now and has the biggest chances to promote in the 3rd League in this summer.

When the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) decided to play this friendly game against Sweden in Craiova all the fans of FC U 1948 bought tickets at this game. This was the only chance for them to show in Europe what a terrible injustice suffered their team. Romania did a great football game and won by 1-0 but this wasn't so important. The entire world was able to see there is angry people in Romania because of stealing of their property and replacing it with a clone. This happened by an abusive political involvement in football. PSD is not a socialist party, is a new communist dictatorial party using in Romania the methods they used in the '50s. This is our fight and it will never end!

We Are BACK!

Hello everybody! After a long time of lack of activity our blog comes back. What happened in meantime it may sound crazy but this just did.

1. Mircea Sandu is no more the president of Romanian Football Federation. Which is good because he was the main reason Romanian football arrived in the worst situation of its entire history. It was a long and fight to remove him from that chair. He wanted to remain there forever, probably. The president of FRF (Romanian Football Federation) is now Razvan Burleanu. On 14th of April 2018 there will be new elections again for the chairman of FRF.

2. Dumitru Dragomir is no longer the president of LPF (Romanian Football League). He used to be number 2 in Romanian football and "the cardinal Richelieu" of it, actually. His nickname is still "Corleone". If you know a bit about movies, you already understand what am I talking about. Both of them, Dragomir and Sandu are still free. They had a lot of justice problems but they pulled some strings somehow and they did not got in prison... yet.

3. Lia Olguta Vasilescu who used to be the city mayor of Craiova is now a member of Romanian Government. She is the Minister of Labor and the whole country is making fun of her because of really bad knowledge of foreign languages and stupid decisions she makes. The most recent: she decided to double all the salaries in Romania. She started a law package in this why and as a result some salaries became 25% smaller than before. The biggest increase she made was 4% in some insulated cases.

FRF Goes In Court

Romanian Football Federation ( FRF ) is about to sue TVR asking for a debt of €170,000. They are pretending this money because Romanian public television broadcasted the games of Romanian national football team between 2010 and 2011 this being the value of the signed contract.
The action was launched in court on December 30th 2015 and the first trial was established for February 19th 2016. The main problem is TVR has a total unpaid debt of €150,000,000. This makes the public television not to be able to pay any cent to its debitors.
You may wonder which is the connection with Universitatea Craiova? Well, our club already sued FRF for a total material damage of €258,000,000. And FRF is able to pay such an amount. It seems they are just trying not to pay their debts and receive everything from the others. Isn't this a double morale Mr. Burleanu ?

Ada Nechita

Born: November 14th 1983 in Bailesti-Dolj
right wing in Romanian national handball team
teams: Stiinta Bailesti, CS Universitatea Craiova, Oltchim Ramnicu-Valcea and HCM Baia-Mare

trophies: Romanian Championship (2006), Romanian Cup (2006), Cup Winners Cup (2006)

Ada Nechita is the woman on top today. Romania qualified in the semifinals of Handball World Championship 2015 after winning against Denmark - the host team. The final score was 31-30 after extra time. During regular time the game ended as a draw 29-29.

Ada Nechita is probably one of the most beautiful players in the tournament. Her love life proves this more than anything. In 2007 she married with Catalin Olteanu. In 2009 they separated and Ada had an affair with the football player Florin Costea - one of Costea brothers about you may read more here .

In 2013 Ada and Florin separated and she started a relationship with the mayor of Baia Mare - Catalin Chereches. He was actually the main sponsor of the handball team in which Ada Nechita was just transfered. Their realtionship ended in 2014.

Today Ada Nechita was part of Romanian handball team who won against Denmark. The most important goal of the match, the last one, was scored by herself. Let's wish good luck to the best team and let's hope Adriana will play better and better.

Universitatea Craiova Died And Nobody Cares

February 25th 2014 was the last day "Universitatea" Craiova existed. Actually this is the last video regarding our football team. A boring winter day. A pale shadow of the squad which literally impressed Europe 30 years ago.

Being relegated in the second league of Romanian football, "Universitatea" Craiova couldn't finish the championship. The main reason was a serious lack of founds. Actually in short time the management was forced to declare bankruptcy. This video show the players demanding their financial rights and complaining about training conditions. Craiova is a city for 250.000 inhabitants. People there is very bad organised and divided because their political views or financial interests. This matter of facts lead to no way out situation . The municipality observed all these defects and founded its own football team having the same name and symbols as the old one. FRF (Romanian Football Federation) suddenly adopted the new club and in this way something incredible happened: the old U Craiova played against the new U Craiova in an official competition... twice. Both games ended in the same way 0-0.

Today it exists the club of municipality only. It promoted in the first Romanian football league and they pretending they are the same club as the old one. Even the official documents show the evidence of 2 total different football teams, nobody recognizes this true fact. After a difficult start in the first season in first Romanian football league, CSU Craiova (the name of the new team) managed to play 14 consecutive games without losing. Many people wondered how was that possible. Anyhow, now they are playing their second season in Liga I and the situation in the table shows this is a mediocre squad. They are in the middle of the table trying hard to qualify for playoff. Two weeks ago, the owner of this club got in prison because of corruption being suspected of a fraud of 60 millions €. It is useless to mention CSU is not making any good result since then.

On the other hand, FCU Craiova (the name of the old team) tried hard to solve the bankruptcy problem. This matter is in the lawyers hands now and the signs are very bad. Long processes, contradictory court solutions, many interests involved and a dead end for football players and the fans of this club. Practically 65 years of tradition must be buried and people is forced to accept the clone team as being their own. If you ever seen "Changing" directed by Angelina Jolie you can understand the situation of Universitatea Craiova's ultras.

Romania - Greece 3-1

Romanian national football team played in Altach (Austria) against Greece. Not so much audience (700 viewers) but a nice game. The final score was 3-1.

Let's say that Greece came with a lot of young players trying to make a team for their future. This was the last game of Romania national football team in 2011. More than 60 players used Victor Piturca in 2011. Even so Romania has not a clear national team. They are still searching for eligible players. Anyhow, Romania played 14 matches in 2011 and only won 5 of them.

The goals of Romania were scored by Torje '17, Tănase '61, Chipciu '80 for Greece scored Karagounis '34.

The teams:
Romania: Balgradean - Papp, Gaman (63' Chiriches), Goian, St. Radu - Toje, Neagu, (86' Grigore), Pintilii (46' Lazar), Tanase (66' Chipciu) - B.Stancu (78' Cocis), Mazilu (46' M. Niculae)
Greece: Kapino - Manlatis, Papastathopoulos (46' Papadopoulos), Malezas, Gianoulis - Makos (46' Fotakis), Tziolis, (77' Salpigidis), Karagounis, P. Kone (55' Theodoridis) - Liberopoulos (46' Mitroglou), Charisteas (46' Samaras)

Romanian Football's Mafia In Court

The head of Professional Football League (LPF), Dumitru Dragomir, was heard again by DNA's prosecutors concerning FC Universitatea Craiova expulsion case.

Unlike two weeks ago, when Dragomir created a circus in front of the DNA institution, today, LPF's boss was confined to declare that "It is my business what I said to the prosecutors". He will soon get in prison.

Mircea Sandu, president of Romanian Football Federation (FRF), is accused of bribery and Dragomir of complicity. Dragomir transferred 400.000 €, representing TV broadcasting rights of Gloria Bistrita, into an account of Mircea Sandu's wife, Elisabeta. Dragomir's official motivation was that Sandu's wife had loaned the football club Gloria Bistrita the same amount. In respect with this loan an affidavit was prepared, but there is no bank transaction showing that the loan was indeed granted.

That is why, investigators suspect that, in fact, Elisabeta Sandu did not ever gave Gloria Bistrita money and the transfer was, as a matter of fact, bribes for FRF's President.

Belgium - Romania 2-1

Romania played a friendly game against Belgium on 11.11.2011 in Liège. Actually this day was reserved for play-offs for European Championship 2012. Romania came on the 3rd place in its group and their fans had to see only a friendly game in this day. Almost the same situation with Belgium.

The final score was 2-1, but Belgium could win at a more comfortable difference. They had 2-0 after first time, Romania scored in the 65th minute of the game by Daniel Niculae and missed a penalty kick by Razvan Rat in the 88th minute of the game.
The teams:
Belgium: Gillet - Vanden Bore, Kompany, Van Buyten, Vertonghen - Derfour (82' Nainggoian), Witsel, Fellaini - Chadll (66' Vossen), Mertens (82' De Bruyne), Mirallas (66' Dembele)
Romania: Tatarusanu - Luchin (80' Pleasca, 86' Gaman), Chiriches ('70 Papp), D. Goian, Rat - Cocis, Lazar (46' Tanase), Pintilii - Varga, B. Stancu (46' Mazilu), D. Niculae
Victor Piturca was strongly contested by Romanian fans in the stadium. He is Romania's coach and the latest results of our national football team are worst than ever.

Universitatea Craiova has a trial in civil court against Victor Piturca. Romanian Football Federation and Romanian Football Leage are also in a dispute with the team from Craiova. As a consequence Universitatea's fans protested during this match asking to FRF's boss to leave his chair. The protests will not finish here.

Romania - France 0-0

Romania met France in a game for Euro 2012 - Poland & Ukraine qualifications. This is all. :) No, not really. Because there were no goals scored in this game but, at least, Romania has gossip. A lot of rumors showed up thanks of this event.

First of all let's see the game. It was not spectacular. Nothing extraordinary happened. Just a boring football game without goals and without anything else. France had 74,5% ball possession , Romania had the ball 13 minutes from 90. There were 51 minutes of effective game, actually.

This was the first game played on a new Romanian stadium. The name of it: National Arena. It was played in front of an audience of 55.000 people. The well known Romanian pop singer INNA, had a mini concert at the begining.

After this, Marcel Pavel, a great voice of Bucharest, sang Romanian National Anthem. Actually he did it bad and he get a fine of 1.500 Euro because of missing the song. This may happen... but FRF - Romanian Football Federation get the same fine for hiring the wrong person to sing the anthem.

A great stadium, which costed 250 million Euro, but a very bad football field. The grass carpet was totally damaged after 90 minutes of using it. It must be recovered until September the 14th when Steaua Bucharest wants to play a game in Europa League on the same stadium. The cost of reparation is 360.000 Euro.

The teams:
Romania: Tatarusanu - Luchin, Goian, Chiriches, Rat - Nicoita, Cocis, Bourceanu, C. Lazar ('43 B. Stancu), Tanase - Marica ('88 G.Bucur)
France: Lloris - Evra, Abidal, Rami, Sagna - Martin, Cabaye ('75 Nasri), M'Villa - Ribery, Benzema, Valbuena ('71 Remy)

Baba Novac / Starina Novak

Baba Novac was one of the most important historical personalities form Romania and Serbia in the same time.
Novac was born in Poreci,a small village on an island of Danube. This village was close of Serbian fortress called Semedria. There are no documents regarding his born date, but the historical community generally agrees with the year 1520.

He had a normal childhood and he got his education in the Orthodox Christian monasteries of Serbia. When he become a grown-up he used to be a worker for building of Semedria fortress. After 3 years of hard working in this field, Turkish administration refused to pay him any money. This was the reason he got angry and revolted against them. 10 soldiers were sent to punish him, but Novac defeated and killed them with only his bare hands. He became an outlaw since then.

He run away on Timoc Valley and organised his own band there. After gathering around 1000 men under his command, Baba Novac sieged and defeated Turkish army in Cladova, Florentin fortress and Vidin. He retired in Bosnia after this and used to live on Romanija mountain. Turkish army captured him there and he was sent in Istanbul to be punished for his facts.

Because he was a very strong man, Turkish administration made him a proposition: to became chef of Istanbul's police. Being a proud person he refused this proposition and spent 2 and a half years in prison. He escaped after this period of time and went back in Bosnia. He had a son called Gruia. In the Balkans,Baba Novac met Deli Marcu, another outlaw, who had an army of 1500 men and they became friends and allies.
After a life of guerilla fights against Turkish administration in South of Danube, Baba Novac met Michael The Brave, one of the most important Romanian Princes, in Varset (Serbia). Michael took the decision to fight against Turkish Empire in 1593. That means, Baba Novac was around 75 years old when he decided to join Michael's army as one of his generals. The other generals of Michael the Brave were John Smith (from Scotland), Aga Lecca (Albania), Valentin Walawski (Poland), Moise Szekely and Albert Kiraly (both from Hungary).
Baba Novac fought in South of Danube first, he defeated Turkish army in Pleven, and Stara Planina ( spring of 1595) and he moved in the North of the river after. On 23rd of August he took part in Calugareni battle (close to Bucharest). That was a great fight where 30,000 men of Michael The Brave defeated 120,000 Turkish sodiers. After this fight, Baba Novac participated in battles in Naieni (close to Ploiesti) against Polish army, Sarata and Bucov. In 1599 Baba Novac started the battle in Selimbar (close to Sibiu) and this was a great victory for Michael The Brave's army. After this fight he follows Moldavian army and conquers Iasi city. He also fought in Hotin and Camenita.
After such a glorious campaign Baba Novac retires in Lipov (close to the Serbian frontier). There he was defeated by a Hungarian army who took him in prison of Cluj. In 5th of February 1601, Baba Novac and his friend, Sasca the priest, were sentenced to death. They were tortured for 1 and and a half hour, fried and impaled in the public square. In all this time, Michael The Brave was in Vienna trying to sign an alliance with Western European States against Turkey. When he came back he defeted Hungarian army in Guraslau and he went in Cluj asking to revenge Baba Novac's death. Michael officiated a solemn commemoration, followed by a charity in memory of the Serbian hero. On the bastion of Cluj, Michael The Brave put all flags won in the battles by Baba Novac. On the land given to his sons by Michael The Brave, rises "Brazda lui Novac", district of Craiova, the most important Southern city in Romania today.

France - Romania 2-0

After a gamed played in Paris, on Stade de France, Romanian national football team lost with 2-0 against Gallic Rooster's team.
The trainer of Romanian national football team is Razvan Lucescu, the only son of Mircea Lucescu, coach of Shaktar Donetzk, ex-trainer of Galatasaray, Beshiktas or Inter Milano. Mircea Lucescu used to play in the same team with Romanian Football Federation presidet, Mircea Sandu. They are good friends and this may be one of the reasons Lucescu's son is now the most important trainer in Romania. Just notice the fact that Lucescu jr never had a performance as a football player or as a trainer. He gets only bad results since he is coach of Romania. Despite all of these facts, Lucescu jr is maintained in this function. Why? Nobody knows, nobody cares.
This network of relations between people involved in Romanian football destroyed all the performances of this well known football team in the past.

Euro 2008 - Romania In

In the 3rd day of Euro 2008 Romania debuted against France. 0-0 was the score of this game. A hard work and the result we deserved.Romania made a promising start today, holding one of the tournament favourites, France, to a goalless draw at the Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich in Group C.

The Netherlands ended a 30-year wait for a victory over Italy in emphatic fashion as they began their Group C campaign with a rousing 3-0 victory against the world champions on Stade de Suisse from Berne.Ruud van Nistelrooy side-footed the Oranje ahead in the 26th minute, a lead doubled superbly by his Real Madrid CF colleague Wesley Sneijder soon after. Edwin van der Sar, becoming only the third player to appear in four UEFA European Championships, then kept the advantage intact, leaving Giovanni van Bronckhorst to complete the scoring with a headed third in the 79th minute. The Netherlands can now look forward with confidence to Friday's meeting with France, while Italy must pick themselves up from a worst-ever EURO defeat when they face Romania.

Pandurii Tg Jiu - Universitatea Craiova 2-0

Another lost game. Universitatea Craiova lost the game against Pandurii Tg Jiu and now is on the 12th place on the table. That is almost a tragedy because our team used to win the games played in Tg Jiu. This result is worst than in last years. The trainer Florin Cioroianu presented his resigantion. But the board of Universitatea Craiova refused to aprove it. The new general manager of our team is Ilie Balaci. 4 players were sent to the second team (Stoica, Saceanu, Dina, Gargalie) and other 2 were 10,000 $ imposed (Baird, Bornescu). In this game Universitatea Craiova used the following team:
Bornescu – Dananae, Ciuca, Mitchell, Rose – Prepelita (’78 Wobay), Gargalie, Velcovici – Costea I, Baird, Dina (’68 Saceanu).

In the next game against Unirea Urziceni we can not use Stoica, Dina, Saceanu, Gargalie (sent to the second team), Michael Baird (red carded in Tg Jiu), Tanasa and Bornescu (medical problems). Our technical stuff need to find young players who replace them.
