That was a record on Romanian sport market, because no other football team reported such a success until now.We are waiting for the on-line store to be opened soon.

Jeremie N'Jock is back at Universitatea Craiova
The Giant Is Back
Universitatea paid $400,000 to French football team Brest for the transfer of Jeremie N'Jock, who will play in Craiova until 2010.
The second bomb on transfer market in this winter is a former player of Universitatea Craiova, the striker Jeremie N'Jock, who accepted to come back here after 2 years. Universitatea agreed with the French football club Brest and paid $400,000 for the 26 years old Cameroon player. Last night, at 20:00 o'clock these 2 clubs agreed, and the management stuff of Universitatea Craiova who went at Brest took the transfer papers. Julius Gibrilla Wobay signed for Craiova
Universitatea bought, for $450.000, 22 years old midfield from Sierra Leone, from NEA Salamina-Cyprus team.
Wobay is a left foot player, has a rare explosion, is very technique and quick too. I am sure he will be one from the first three players from Romanian First Football League. He will conquer Universitatea Craiova's fans from the first friendly games.
Ştefan Stoica
The first player brought by Universitatea Craiova in this winter comes from Sierra Leone via Cyprus. His name is Julius Gibrilla Woobay and he plays for Sierra Leone National Football Team. He was born on May 19th 1984 and plays as an offensive midfield, a kind of second striker. The price of this player was $450.000 and this is the most expansive transfer made by Universitatea Craiova. This amount is bigger than any other sum payed for Radu Niculescu, Adrian Toader, Daniel Chirita or Cristian Chivu. Wobay signed for 4 years and a half and he will came in Craiova this Wednesday.
Olympiakos Pireu was also interested in bringing Wobay
More Cyprus teams were interested to buy Wobay. One of them was Omonia Nicosia, the team which has Romanian Ioan Andone as a trainer, but also the champions of Greece, Olympiakos Pireu, wanted him. "Our luck was the fact that Olympiakos Pireu already had too much foreign player in their team, so we succeded to bring Wobay at Craiova", said Fane Stoica. Last spring, Vitoria Guimaraes wanted to buy Wobay, but in the last the deal wasn't made. In the last season, Wobay was the second in the goal scorers table from Cyprus championship. He did 12 goals last year and 4 goals in this season. The most famous football player from Sierra Leone was the former player of Inter Milano and AS Monaco, Mohammed Kallon.
«I barely wait to beat Dinamo and Steaua!»
Wobay weared already Universitatea Craiova T-shirt and he will officially play this spring.
Reporter: Are you happy you signed for Universitatea Craiova?
Julius Gibrilla Wobay: I am very happy I arrived at Universitatea, I've heard it is a good team. I don't now much about this team but I learn quick and I will know more until the meeting with my new colleagues.
How do you see your future at Craiova?
First of all I hope to be chosen to play in the first team, I hope to gather as much as possible points is possible and I barely wait to beat Dinamo and Steaua, because I did understood is a big competition between these teams.
What do you say to the fans?
I wish them Merry Christmas and all the best. I promise I will do all my best for Universitatea Craiova and I hope to realise high performances shortly.

UT Arad - Universitatea Craiova 1-0
It was a very hard game for both teams. Universitatea Craiova came at this game without 9 formal players. A big number of them suffered injuries in this autumn and others accumulated 4 yellow cards that means an automate suspension for the next game.In such conditions, our team had an average age of 22 years old being probably the youngest football team in Romanian First Football League ever. Universitatea Craiova resisted until the 84th minute without goal. In the end of the game Hidisan scored for UTA and Craiova returned home with empty hands. The next game will be next week against FC Vaslui.

Brasil at World Cup 2006
Everybody knows why Brasil is famous in the World: the most powerful football team and beautiful ladies. This year the Brasilian football team did not made a quite good evolution. Even they were the last Champions Of The World, this year Ronaldinho, Ronaldo or Roberto Carlos left early the competition. The results of their games were:
Brasil - Croatia 1-0
Brasil - Australia 2-0
Japan - Brasil 1-4
Brasil - Ghana 3-0
France - Brasil 1-0
For any other football team in the World such an evolution should be considered as a success. For Brasil not. That because they have 5 titles of Wolrd Champion in their history.

Universitatea Craiova - Farul Constanta 1-0
It was a great fight this game. Universitatea won because of the goal scored by Saceanu, the player who carries nr. 8 T-shirt. In Craiova nr.8 is the most important number of the team. Great football players had this number and they never disappointed their fans. Their names: Ilie Balaci, Gh. Craioveanu, P. Badea, S. Cristescu.
So, nowadays, Saceanu is the man who continues this tradition.
Unfortunately, this game was spoiled by some incidents in stadium. A group of fans attacked another fan of the same team. This happening tells enough about the primitive civilization in Romanian stadiums. See the picture bellow:I hope such things never happen again.

Universitatea Craiova - Politehnica Timisoara 0-1
It was a game of complete and continous effort. Both teams worked hard to winn this game. This time wonn Timisoara. Because this team were more experienced. Between Craiova and Timisoara there was alawys a relation of respect and the result of this game was one result which never upset one of the fans of both teams. In other words, the happiness of such a game is greater than the result of it.
Craiova loves Timisoara and Timisoara loves Craiova.

Australia at World Cup 2006
Australia is a team which participated for only few times at this competition. That is because in this country the football means something else than in Europe or in America. Anyhow, Cangaroo's team had a good presence this year in Germany. The games they played were:
Japan - Australia 1-3
Brasil - Australia 2-0
Croatia - Australia 2-2
Italia - Australia 1-0Universitatea Craiova has 3 Australian football players who did a good job here until now. Their names: Michael Baird, Josh Mitchell and Joshua Rose. Let's hope you will hear these names again.

Rapid Bucharest - Universitatea Craiova 1-0
On November 8th, Universitatea Craiova played for the quarters of final in Romanian Cup. It was a beautiful game but unfortunately ended with a score which will be hard for Craiova's fans to accept.
The goal of the team from Bucharest was scored by a lucky shoot from free kick of Badoi. He is a player who was refused by Universitatea Craiova few years ago. Let's hope we can do better games in the future. We lost the participation in the Romanian Cup but we still have to fight in The First League. The next game will be this Sunday against Politehnica Timisoara.

Universitatea Craiova - Pandurii Targu Jiu 2-2
This was a difficult game for Universitatea Craiova. And this happened because our team had to play a game after only 48 hours from the last match. I have to remind you that Universitatea Craiova played against Ceahlaul Piatra-Neamt this Wednesday. FRF (Romanian Football Federation) commited an abuse again forcing our team to play in such a short time even this game could be played this Saturday or Sunday.
Anyhow, Craiova did a good match and scored twice but everytime the oponent team came back by 2 goals scored from free kicks by Vranjkovici. Our goals were scored by Michael Baird and Mircea Bornescu (the second goal scored penalty kicks by our goalkeeper).

FC National - Universitatea Craiova 1-2
This was the third consecutive victory for Universitatea Craiova and it was a very good reason for us to be happy. The new trainer, Stefan Stoica, who came at our team three weeks ago made a good job here. He succeded to winn 3 games from 3. This performance put him in our hearts very quickly. Our goals in this game were scored by Michael Baird and Mihai Dina. You can see the goals below.
Now Universitatea Craiova is situated on the 13th position of the Romanian First League Table. I hope we can go higher.

Universitatea Craiova succeded a new victory in the yesterday game. This time the opponent was a Moldavian team called Ceahlãul Piatra-Neamt. The only goal of the game was scored by Florin Costea (aka Costea I) and you can see it in the movie below.
As you can see, Universitatea Craiova has the same model of T-shirts like Argentina. Besides that no Argentinian football player made part of our team until now. But, never say never.

Argentina at World Cup 2006
Argentina was one of the most important teams who played at this World Cup edition. Anyone on this planet recognize their T-shirts in white and blue strips. As a matter of fact this is why I feel this team closer of my heart. They are playing in the same colours as my favourite football team: Universitatea Craiova.
The fans of Argentina are also very warm and very attached by their team. In this case we can say we can see high quality football when tis team are playing on a stadium.
Let see what were the results of Argentina at this World Cup:
Argentina - Cote D'Ivore 2-1
Argentina - Serbia 0-0
Netherlands - Argentina 0-0
Argentina - Mexico (1-1) 2-1 after extra time
Germany - Argentina (1-1, 1-1) 4-2 after 11m kicks

Romanian Football Federation (FRF) takes unbelivable decisions
Taking into consideration the verbal and phisical violences in this season, the board of FRF aproved some modifications on the system of point according.
The groups of fans which are producing damages on a stadium will be banned for that stadium for 2 years. If a certain football club will be punished there will be no more games on neutral field. All the games will be played on the own field of the home team, but without suporters (if the fans are guilty). If the incidents are produced because of the players, trainers or some officials of a football team, then the club find guilty will be punished subtracting 3 points in the final table of championship.
If a president or an official member of a football club brings an offence to someone, their own club will be punished by subtracting 3 points in the final table of championship.
The fans of all the teams from Liga I will be forbiden to came into stadium with other materials with the exception of those which are containing the logo of the football club. It is forbiden the acces of the fans who are in possesion of other kind of materials (banners, written messages a.s.o.)
These regulations will be apllied from 2 october 2006."
In my oppinion these unbelivable rules are made to obey the fans of the football teams and to make them to forget the football games in such a way the MAFIA from Romanian football to be free to operate their black undercover bussines.
If you are not agree with these rules please send us an encouraging message using this e-mail address: universitateacraiova@yahoo.com or a complain here: info@uefa.com or contact@fifa.org

The Fans Of Craiova
In the last 50 years, only one Romanian football team had a more than warm stadium. Its name: Universitatea Craiova. This year, the situation was the same like always in our history. the game against Dinamo Bucharest brought 20.000 supporters in the aria of Ion Oblemenco Stadium. The did an incandescent atmosphere in such a way only here you may see.
Unfortunately Universitatea Craiova lost this game with 0-4, but the fans continued to sing and support the team despiting their lifetime enemy, the team of the red dogs - Dinamo Bucharest.

Universitatea Craiova had a hard game yesterday. In the first 20 minutes of the game politehnica Iasi already had 2-0. Our team regained its forces and we realised to turn up the score at 3-2 for Craiova.
With one minute until the end of the game Politehnica Iasi scored once again and the result was 3-3. This draw help no one from these teams but gives us the hope of a good football. Our team played good enough and we know that our young players will grow in the future.

4 More Days Until The Game Of The Year
This Sunday Universitatea Craiova meets Dinamo Bucharest. They are the grates rivlas of our team. Craiova needs to fight well and winn because this is the only way to thank to their fans. No other victory is so sweet like that against Dinamo Bucharest.
For people who doesn't know too much about the team of "red dogs" form the Capital of Romania, this was the club of the Romanian communist political police, called "Securitatea", between the years 1948-1989. In 41 years of communism they did such pain to the other football teams that is almost no one who like this horible club.
Craiova was one of the most important teams who fought against Dinamo Bucharest and Steaua in the years of communism and for this gathered a great capital of simpathy in Romania. There are only 4 days until the game against Dinamo. Follow this situation and you will see a nice show.

Get Well Soon Angie
The girlfriend of Michael Baird, Angie had serious health problems these days. Our aussie player left Romania with a quick fly to Australia to be near his girl in these terible times.
Because of these our team played last Saturday for Angie and the fans of Universitatea Craiova showed their affection using a banner titled: GET WELL ANGIE.
Universitatea Craiova realised a good game against Rapid Bucharest and the final result was 1-1. The next game will be in Craiova versus Dinamo Bucharest our rivals for a lifetime.

Michael Baird back in Australia?
QUEENSLAND Roar has sent out an SOS to former firebrand Michael Baird as its search for an impact striker for their upcoming A-League season continues.
Baird, 22, is signed with newly promoted Romanian first-division outfit Universitatea Craiova after leaving the Roar at the close of their inaugural season.
Prior to his exit he produced a lukewarm A-League performance that included just six goals in 20 games.
He was famously booed off the pitch by home-ground fans at Suncorp Stadium following a 3-1 loss to Melbourne that effectively ended the club's 2005 finals hopes.
But Roar coach Miron Bleiberg has fired off an email in an effort to lure Baird back to his former A-League club.
"He has improved a lot as a player in Romania from what I have heard, and I think he would provide some of the explosiveness that we need," Bleiberg said.
"I haven't heard back from him yet. He has three more years left on his contract (in Romania) but maybe he wants to come back."
Known as much for his outspoken personality as his on-field prowess, Baird has thrived in Romania where he has become a crowd favourite among for Universitatea faithful.
Just 12 weeks into his four-year deal with the club, Baird has already picked up seven goals, two man-of-the-match awards and is widely credited on the club's official fansite as the catalyst for the side's promotion to the first division for the 2006-07 season.
He fared far better than his former Roar teammate Karl Dodd who was sacked from the club after just one month into his five-year contract.
Bleiberg has three vacancies on his roster including one for an overseas striker, a position he could keep aside for Baird.
He dismissed any suggestion Baird left the club on bad terms and would be welcomed back to Queensland with open arms.
"Of course he would be welcome back here. There is no bad blood between Michael and the club at all," the coach said.

Violence Is Not The Answer
Violence without limmits at a footbal game.
In the last day of the second Romanian football league the fans of Universitatea Craiova resisted at a violent atac of the fans of Dinamo Bucharest. 200 fans of Dinamo Bucharest organised a war with knifes, baseball bats and stones against 30 fans of Universitatea Craiova who came to see the game between the second team of Dinamo Bucharest and Universitatea Craiova.
The final bilance of this animalic behaviour of the fans from Bucharest were: 3 supporters of Craiova superficially stabed, one supporter in hospital and many others with superficial hurts.
"I did not think that can happen on a Romanian football field! Pure and simple I can not find any sense in those facts. I would like to be only a nightmare. In this way mybe I will forget someday", said Ovidiu Stanga - the coach of Universitatea Craiova.
"Petre Buduru, the president of Dinamo Bucharest, called me for a transfer at that club. I will not play in the team of red dogs for good. All my life I will remember the things happen in Bucharest last Saturday!", said Mircea Bornescu, goalkeeper of Universitatea Craiova.
As a conclusion: violence bring nothing than other violence.

Michael Baird
"I hope I was at the level of the fans expectations"
Michael Baird left Craiova for a holiday in Antalya, Turkey, where he will join his friend Jon McKain, the player of Politehnica Timisoara.
Reporter: Michael, did you have a season at the level of your expectations, or do you think it could be done more?
Michael Baird: If you speak about our team, I don't see what is the better we could do. We arrived in Romanian football first league with three days before the end of the championship, we wonn the most important game (against Petrolul Ploiesti), we riched our goal. Speaking about me, I can say I am satisfied, I'm coming after a year full of competions without a pause and I can feel this. I hope our fans were satisfied with what I did until now.
Rep: You scored less goals than you expected...
M.B.: Yes, it is true, I scored three goals, but I belive I helped Craiova with my work here. Anyhow, I did not missed too much opportunities, I scored in almost all my ocasions I had. I hope I will score more goals in the future. Look at Ryan Griffiths. Now he is in a big shape and everybody is speaking about him, but FC National had patience with him about two years. Until now he rarely arrived in the first 11.
Rep: What are your holiday plans, do you comeback in Australia?
M.B.: No. I get used with Europe and I will stay here. Saturday I will leave Romania for a holiday in Antalya, Turkey. My girlfriend, Angie, Jon McKain and his girlfriend will join me there until June the 17th, when we comeback in Craiova. I'm waiting for this holiday from a long time and I want to use it at maximum.
Rep: How do you think the first league will be?
M.B.: I will be harder for sure. We must improve the team and our play, also. If some players with experience will came at Craiova, we can fight for the first places.

Rep: What news do you have about Josh Mitchell?
M.B.: He is in Australia, he has some days of holiday there and I believe will see eachother in Austria, because he will came straight forward.
