Unirea Urziceni - Universitatea Craiova 2-2

It was a very nice game this one. Unirea Urziceni had 2-0 after 45 minutes of maximum intensity play. Universitatea Craiova lead this game from the firts minute until the last. The goals of the opponents were scored thanks to individual mistakes made by our team. After the break, Craiova's players entered more determined in the field and the final score was a draw who let both teams to hope for a better future. Our goals were scored by Michael Baird and Julius Wobay.

Universitatea Craiova - Pandurii Targu Jiu 1-0

It was not a nice game. In the field were two teams which did much effort for nothing. The play suffered because of this. In the end Universitatea Craiova won thanks to the goal scored by F. Costea. Another 3 points in the table for our team.

CFR Cluj - Universitatea Craiova 4-1

Despite the bad result obtained in this game, Universitatea made a good game and played with courage and determination. It was just another game when the referee did the difference between the teams in the field. Anyhow, Craiova scored for 1-1 by Florin Costea and was quite equal as footbal quality with the team which won the football championship in Romania.

Universitatea Craiova - Politehnica Iasi 2-1

Craiova did a good game. Our goals were scored after the break by Josh Mitchell and Joshua Rose. Universitatea scored once again by Dananae but the referee canceled the goal without reason. Anyhow 3 more points in the table for our beloved team.

Farul Constanta - Universitatea Craiova 3-1

Universitatea Craiova opened the game with a goal scored by Florin Costea. It was a beautiful masterpiece. But it was not enough to win the game. After the break Constanta scored three times and the game finished wrong for us.

Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt - Universitatea Craiova 1-0

It was a good game but the result of it does not make us being happy. It was a sad night and the refere had a bad day. Let's hope we will not see such kind of football games anymore.

Universitatea Craiova - Gloria Buzau 3-1

Universitatea Craiova wonn against Gloria Buzau. This is a team trained by Craiova's ex trainer, Stefan Stoica. Our goals were scored by Fl Costea(2) and Wobay.It was too much fog for a football game. But Craiova did a good game and won without problems one more time.

Oltenia - a holly land

Oltenia is the region where Craiova is. This region contains 5 districts: Olt, Dolj, Vîlcea, Gorj, Mehedinti. It is placed in South-West of Romania and used to be the richest part of Valachia, the ancient name of Romania between XIIth and XIXth Centuries. For this reason the financial center of Valachia was in Craiova, which was called Bania. This word means in ancient Romanian language "the bank" or the place were the money is.
This name was received because in this part of Romania there are long and wealthy fields which are very good for agriculture. In that period Romania was a great producer of grain, corn and food. All the money resulted where gathered in Craiova where the richest men used to live. That is the reason for well known pride of actual Oltenia's people. Even the money were here, the political strings and buttons were pulled and pressed in Bucharest. That is the reason for a traditional hate between Craiova and Bucharest.
In soccer, this rival spirit was conserved. And the reason was the permanent repression of Bucharest's rulers against Universitatea Craiova, the most beloved Romanian football team. In our days, Universitatea Craiova fight against Bucharest, and a victory against Steaua, Dinamo or Rapid Bucharest is very appreciated here. This is Oltenia's spirit. Universitatea Craiova is our religion.

Universitatea Craiova - Dinamo Bucharest 1-1

It is a great rivality between Universitatea Craiova and Dinamo Bucharest. As a matter of fact the people from Craiova doesn't like any team from Bucharest. That is because they are all ex-comunist teams. Dinamo Bucharest is the football team of Ceausescu's political police called "Securitatea".
Universitatea Craiova did a good game against Dinamo Bucharest. Unfortunately a mistake chain of the refere lead to this draw result.
The goal of Universitatea Craiova was scored by Ciprian Tanasa in the 36th minute of the game.

Universitatea Craiova made a great victory yesterday. Poli Timisoara is a team which gathered the most expansive players in Romanian championship. Although Craiova took 3 points in the game against this football team.Our goals were scored by Florin Costea in the 10th minute of the game after a personal action, and Michael Baird in the 77th minute from an assist of Julius Wobay. Anoter lost game by Universitatea Craiova. This game was lost in the old manner we already know. Universitatea Craiova received a goal in the last 10 minutes and the reaction did not came. Our team made a good game and played well. Unfortunately they did not win and we must try again to save ourselfs from the second football league.Our goal was scored by Julius Wobay.
