Superbowl XLIII

Yesterday we saw the most beautiul Superbowl game ever. 

Pittsburg Steelers won the 6th Superbowl in their history. They succeded this performance against Arizona Cardinals (27-23) and the MVP of the game was Sanantonio Holmes.

The third game in the Turkish trainment of Universitatea Craiova was played against Sturm Graz. This team is placed now on the 3rd position in the table of football championship from Austria.

Ciprian Tanasa come back

Ciprian Tanasa came back to our beloved football team. He was one of the most important football players in last season. He played half season for Politehnica Iasi but now he came back home. We hope Tanasa will be again a very good striker of Universitatea Craiova. You may see him in the video below:

Universitatea Craiova get 2 new football players from Australia: Anthony Bryan Bran central defender and Filip Nechifor midfield player, both are 17 years old.
Anthony Bryan Bran born in Melbourne, on 02.03.1991, 1.97m height, comes from Victorian Institut of Sport from Melbourne.
Filip Nechifor, from Logan City, born in Timişoara, on 25.07.1991, 1,82m height.
Both of them have Romanian citizenship and they are represented by Dan Stănilescu. Universitatea Craiova has under contract another four football players coming from Australia: Josh Mitchell, Joshua Rose, Spase Dilevski and Michael Baird.

Petre Deselnicu Arena

One of the most important former players of Universitatea Craiova gave today his name to a new training field. The most important training field of our team is called Petre Deselnicu. He was a player of Universitatea Craiova from 1960 to 1978. At this important moment from our team's life were people 500. They celebrated the memory of Petre Deselnicu. Our team made a demonstrative game followed by a dinner offered by Universitatea Craiova's owner. This will be a new stadium with 3000 places and lighting improvements. On the memorial plate is written: Petre Deselnicu (aka Tai-Pan) 23 September 1946 - 14 July 2003. 243 games in the Romanian first league, 12 goals. One time Champion Of Romania (1973-1974) and one time Cup Of Romania winner (1977). He was vice-president of Universitatea Craiova in1990/1991 and 2002/2003 seasons. Maestro of the Sports and Honor Citizen of Craiova municipality.

Euro 2008: Czech Republic - Turkey 2-3

A heart attack football game. The Czech Republic football players had 2-0 in the 70th minute of the game. The Turks came back and changed the game result.
