Universitatea Craiova - Farul Constanta 4-0

Universitatea Craiova made a great match yesterday. When you win with 4-0 there is nothing which remains to say.

15.000 fans come to "Ion Oblemenco" stadium to see the show. Because Universitatea Craiova made a show in front of them.

In the 30th minute, Dorel Stoica had a powerfull shoot from a free kick at 40 m by the goal of Farul Constanta. The Farul's goalkeeper returned the ball in the field and Florin Costea scored for 1-0. 7 minutes later Wobay and Costea created a good opportunity for Tanasa who made 2-0. After 2 minutes Prepelita pased for Joshua Rose who put Tanasa alone in the front of the goal. Craiova's striker did not miss and the score became 3-0.

In the second half of the game, Wobay was the one who gave another assist for Tanasa. And the hattrick was succeded.

Olteniada

A new hip-hop band from Craiova made a song dedicated to Oltenia region. This is a part of Romania which lives to support Universitatea Craiova. Without using demanding words, Universitatea Craiova is a religion for this part from Romania.This new band is called C.I.A. which stands for Craiova Independent Artists, and the song is Olteniada.

Universitatea Craiova - FC Caracal 3-0

Ştiinţa presented their players yesterday on “Ion Oblemenco” stadium. The match for presentation was played against FC Caracal (Second League team). The final score was 3-0 and it leave me speachless. Craiova used the new ADIDAS T-shirts which will be the equipment provider for the year 2007-2008. It seems it bring us good luck.

Copa America

These days in South America was played Copa America. A competition which gather the most important American national football teams. As everybody wanted to in the final game played Argentina versus Brazil. The score was 3-0 for "Cariocas" but this result doesn't matter to much for us. We have two girls who represent those both countries. One of them is Sabrina Sabrok, the front girl of a rock band from Argentina.

And the other one is a Brazil's fan babe. They both have something to show. But you are the only one who decide which one fits better with your taste.

Havana Beach

Constanta, Romania. On the Black See beach there is a place dedicated for Cuba. It is called Havana beach.Mamaia is a holiday town which is prepared for the tourists who like the sun and the salt water. If you arrive in Romania, I sugest you to visit it.

There are a lot of hotels, night clubs, disco bars and more than all open air restaurants. You can eat almost everything from Romanian traditional kitchen to Italian, Turkish or even Greek food. If you go there, you will like the trip.

"White and Blue" by Freddy Garbaci

This is a beautiful book written by a man who describes his passion for a life. I can reproduce some lines bellow:
You have already been warned. Football and words. It's high time to produce, at our level of understanding, literature inspired from life.

Wall, sofa, five meters of hot floor, TV set, another white wall. This is the frame of disaster, it's my living room. Green colored screen with restless little dwarfs crossing a prideless coma, in hard to look covulsions.
From my family I've known we are honest people and that, in this context, it isn't right to support Steaua or Dinamo because they are teams promoted by communists and represent the voracious repression of the state: militia and army.

It was difficult for a child to understand all of this: if and why the communist order was wrong, if and why army and the militia of the communists were bad, which is the connection between football and uniforms, why you can't support some boys running after a ball in shorts and T-shirt, without a helmet and machine gun.

"And remember one thing, he told me : The only team who want to face them is Craiova. It's the only one who fight against them, the only one who refuses to give them players. If you want to be correct you have to look up to the correct ones, not the thieves. If you want to be correct you have to support Craiova". If this people was for just a moment honest with itself, it would have embarassed at a given time to see it's fame in sport being ensured by two clubs called Steaua and Dinamo, it would have thrown away in the cracked comunist reactor, under a concrete coffin and it would have gathered its strenght to cancel 50 years of lies in order to win dignity to restart from scratch. They would have given back to Europe the "Golden Shoe " and "European Campion Cup" trophies.

Campionatul suporterilor

Universitatea Craiova's fans won the game against Dinamo Bucharest ones. It is a TV show called "Fans Championship". The result was estabilshed by SMS voting and Universitatea Craiova had 70% of the total received messages.

Now our fans are qualified for semifinals where we will meet the winner between Poli Timisoara and UTA Arad.

Josh Mitchell speaks about future

A new season will begin at the end of July. Universitatea Craiova prepares it. Josh Mitchell tells us some of his thoughts concerning this.

Holiday for Universitatea

This Sunday Universitatea Craiova's under 21 football team will play the semifinal playoff games for the title of Champion of Romania. The first team has a well deserved holiday. Although our players visit the official store of the club to buy some promotional materials for their friends and relatives. In the picture from above you may see Mircea Bornescu.

On the other hand Andrei Ionescu is still refusing to renovate his contract with Universitatea Craiova. Taking into account that he was junior player for this team he may be for 2 years suspended if he will not accept Universitatea Craiova's proposed contract.

Did you saw the T-shirts of these players of Universitatea Craiova? That's good. Che Guevara is the spirit of our football team.

Ciprian Tanasa and Anderi Prepelita came from Fc Arges Pitesti. They have a serious First Romanian Football League experience and we hope they will help Universitatea Craiova in the next season.

Dorel Stoica's first game for Romania

Dorel Stoica, the captain of Universitatea Craiova, debuted in Romania's National football team. He played Tuesday, March 28th against Luxembourg starting with the 87th minute substituting Tamas. Stoica played as central defender and carried the number 13 T-shirt.

In the same day, another player of Universitatea Craiova, Jullius Wobay played for his National football team in a game against Togo, and scored the goal of Sierra Leone.

Valerian Garla played also for U21 Romanian football team.

Universitatea Craiova played a friendly game with the pupils from "Electroputere" Craiova High School. At this match were 1000 fans who wanted to view their idols on the field.

Universitatea won this game by 5-3 (1-3).

This game was played was a nice and happy training for Universitatea Craiova's players and also a good oportunity for the children from "Electroputere" High School to show their infinite love for this football team.
